Dakarai Strong Foundation achieves 501(c)(3) status

An organization with the goal of supporting families facing childhood cancer is now accepting donations after its official approval as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The nonprofit is called the Dakarai Strong Foundation, named for Dakarai Saxton, 14, the Mayfield teen — and regular presence at Mayfield High School's War Memorial Stadium — who died after a battle with cancer.
