Noe Ponti Breaks 50 Fly World Record in Shanghai; First Swiss World Record in Almost 40 Years

Noè Ponti – that's the name of the new world record holder in the 50 meter butterfly. He is thus the first Swiss to set an official world record since 1985.

Noè Ponti is in great shape. The man from Ticino set the world record in the 50m butterfly at the World Cup in short course in Shanghai. He swam in 21.67 on Sunday in the playoffs before finishing 21:68 in a final that he won.
