Nobel laureate and economist Muhammad Yunus took the oath of office as head of Bangladesh’s interim government on Thursday after a student-led uprising prompted former prime minister Sheikh Hasina to step down and flee to India.
Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhamad Junus has returned to Bangladesh and will be sworn in as the president of the transitional government. After the removal of the former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, she will lead the country until new elections.
