This was announced by the Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico, after having spoken this Thursday in Bratislava, the capital of his country, with his Czech counterpart, Andrej Babis, on his first official visit to the neighbouring nation after taking the reins of the new government in December 2025 by winning the October elections of that year.
Former Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala expressed concern after Babiš's meeting with Fico about the rapprochement between the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, warning of the weakening of democratic Europe. Both sides also announced the resumption of government negotiations that had previously been suspended.
