‘No threat to national security’: London police update on Chesham Ave. investigation
Four Western University students face multiple firearms and explosives charges after police found hazardous chemicals and weapons in linked residences, police said.
- London police on Feb. 6 charged four Western University students—Jerry Tong, 27, Zekun Wang, 26, Fei Han, 25, and Feiyang Ji, 2—after a police investigation into a campus trespass.
- A Jan. 24, 2026 around 1:40 a.m. trespassing call led Western University Special Constable Service to arrest a man after a foot pursuit where officers found a loaded handgun, and investigators found hazardous chemicals near Chesham Avenue and Chesham Place, prompting two more arrests.
- Investigators, aided by the RCMP, executed warrants at three residences in London, Ottawa and Gatineau, finding additional firearms and several explosives late last week, which explosive disposal technicians secured and disposed of safely.
