Stjörnan and Polarhav were fishing north of the coast yesterday, when a noise suddenly came from the gear on board Stjörnan.
The MRCC was informed, but as no naval vessel was available, the message was that the partrollers had to manage themselves.
So Polarhav took the mackerel on board and towed Stjörnan to Klaksvík. The tow took about 12 hours.
