No more purple seats: Mountains commuters finally get their new trains

BLUE MOUNTAINS AND SOUTH COAST RAIL LINES, JUL 13 – The new Mariyung trains offer fixed seating, more legroom, and modern amenities, replacing all V-sets by mid-2025 to improve passenger comfort and safety, officials said.

The long-delayed rollout is also looming for commuters who use the South Coast line between Sydney and the Illawarra.
