Firefighters battle Lake Stevens duplex fire

Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue credit calls from concerned neighbors for helping quickly put out a duplex fire in Lake Stevens.

By Marcel BrandtAt around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening, the Nordhorn fire department was called to a room fire in a single-family home on the street Am Nordfriedhof in Deegfeld. A fire had started in an oven. Two firefighters live in the immediate vicinity and, after being alerted, immediately rushed to the house with their own fire extinguishers and put out the fire.
