Daniel Alvarez struck out four batters over 2.2 innings to lead fifth-seeded St. Joseph (Mont.) to a 10-0 victory over 12th-seeded Hudson Catholic in the first round of the North Jersey, Non-Public A tournament in Montvale.St. Joseph (20-7) scored seven runs in the first two innings to take control early. The Green Knights added a run in the third inning and two more in the sixth to complete the victory.
