UNCASVILLE, Conn. – In the quarterfinal round of the BIG EAST Tournament on Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena, the No. 2 seed Villanova Wildcats tallied a 73-65 win over the No. 7 seed Providence College Friars. With the victory, Villanova improves to 24-6, while Providence falls to 15-18.

UNCASVILLE, CONN. – The No. 7-seed Providence College women's basketball team fell to No. 2-seed Villanova, 73-65, in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals on Saturday, March 7 at Mohegan Sun Arena. Sabou Gueye and Orlagh Gormley each scored 19 points for the Friars as they concluded their season with a 15-18 overall record. Villanova improved to 24-6 overall and will play in the BIG EAST Semifinals on Sunday, March 8.
