SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- No. 2 Notre Dame made a major statement Saturday, knocking off top-ranked North Carolina 10-5 at Arlotta Stadium in a matchup between two of the nation’s top men’s lacrosse teams.

In a matchup of the two top-ranked teams in the nation, No. 2 Notre Dame got the better of No. 1 UNC Saturday in South Bend, outscoring the Tar Heels 6-2 in the second half to earn a 10-5 win.
