UNITED STATES, JUL 7 – The recalls address defects causing engine failure, software errors, and airbag risks across multiple brands affecting over 750,000 vehicles, with notifications starting late July.
- Nissan recalled about 443,899 vehicles in the US and 37,837 in Canada due to engine bearing defects risking engine failure.
- The recall affects 2019-2024 Nissan Rogues, Altimas, Infiniti QX50s, and QX55s equipped with 1.5L or 2.0L variable compression turbo engines.
- Technicians will inspect for metal debris and replace engines or perform specific maintenance, with repairs free regardless of warranty status.
- General Motors recalled 40,233 vehicles for roof-rail airbag inflator defects that may rupture and project metal fragments into cabins, and owner letters will mail August 11.
- Ford issued a recall for a limited number of 2025 F-150 Lightning trucks due to the possibility that screws securing the front brake hose bracket may become loose, which could lead to brake fluid leaks.
