- Burkinabé national Ouattra Adama was identified as the alleged leader and arrested alongside 11 facilitators comprising eight Liberians and three Cameroonians.
- Authorities transferred the arrested suspects and rescued victims to Nigeria Immigration Service headquarters in Abuja for further investigation and legal action.
- The Service urged the public to "Verify all offers of employment, education, business, and migration through appropriate channels," aligning with the "Renewed Hope Agenda" of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.
