- Dozens have been rescued, but more than 265 children and teachers seized in Niger state on Friday remain missing; Tinubu urged enhanced protection for schools, churches, and mosques and called on the National Assembly to review laws for state policing.
- Gangs operate from camps in vast forests spanning Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, Sokoto, Kebbi and Niger, amid a ransom industry demanding 48 billion naira but only 2.57 billion naira paid, said SBM Intelligence.
