- Key demands include the commencement of the Contributory Pension Scheme, full implementation of the 2025 Federal Government agreement, and payment of 22-month arrears of the 25/35 per cent wage award.
- Chairperson Vincent Choji and Secretary Lomka Kopdiya directed all members to suspend academic activities indefinitely, following approval by the National Executive Council of The Academic Staff Union.
- Other grievances include the provision of safe staff quarters, construction of trenches around the Plateau State University perimeter fence, and an end to what the union described as the intimidation of its leaders.
