The untitled biopic will explore Richards’ rise as a pioneering male supermodel and his ties to a doomsday cult, according to the project’s reports.
Nicholas Galitzine will star as male supermodel Hoyt Richards in an untitled biopic directed by Gus Van Sant, set to shoot next year.
A major figure in the fashion world of the late 80s and early 90s, Richards, currently 64, was one of the first modern male supermodels, posing for Versace, Ralph Lauren, and Burberry.

Galitzine, who recently starred in "Masters of the Universe," joins two-time Oscar nominee Van Sant, known for "Good Will Hunting" and "Milk."
Galitzine will next appear in the "Red, White and Royal Blue" sequel, "Red, White and Royal Wedding," and director Pete Berg's Netflix WWII drama "The Mosquito Bowl.
