Niagara police see spike in human trafficking victims being identified, as number of investigations grows

Police shared data at a recent information session hosted by Niagara Regional Police Service's human trafficking unit. It was the first session of its kind for the unit, which began in 2019. The session was held after community members, including teens, had asked police for more information about how trafficking happens in the region and the how prevalent it is.
