NFL schedule: Chiefs-Broncos game; Bills' stadium debut among teasers
The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Denver Broncos on Sept. 14, launching ESPN's Monday Night Football season in a high-profile AFC West clash.
Tuesday's early schedule teaser confirmed the matchup ahead of the full 2026 NFL schedule release set for Thursday, May 14.
Chiefs general manager Brett Veach reported Patrick Mahomes is "way ahead of schedule" in recovery, while Broncos quarterback Bo Nix continues rehab from a fractured ankle.
Arrowhead Stadium or Empower Field remain potential host sites, as the NFL has not yet determined the game's location before Thursday's schedule finalization.
The Broncos swept the Chiefs in 2025, reversing years of Kansas City dominance; the Chiefs had gone 13-1 in 14 matchups from 2017 to '24.
