Chiefs and 49ers Suffer First Losses of NFL Season, Vikings Stay Unbeaten
The Vikings are the NFL’s only unbeaten team after Kansas City and San Francisco both took their first losses in Week 7.
On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks handed the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the season with a convincing 20-3 victory in the Pacific Northwest.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 57.6% of his passes while facing pressure on 53% of dropbacks, later admitting, "If you don't come ready to play, you can get your tail kicked."
The Chiefs' offense faltered throughout the night, finishing with just 213 total yards, while running back Kenneth Walker III was held to 36 yards on 14 carries.
Despite the defeat, the Kansas City Chiefs maintain a half-game lead over the Denver Broncos in the AFC West, though next Sunday's matchup against Denver will decide divisional control.
The Minnesota Vikings now stand as the NFL's only remaining unbeaten team after their 16-10 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, as both the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers suffered first losses this week.
