Seattle RB Chabonnet Won't Return This Weekend Against the Chiefs
Seattle gets a boost as coach Mike Macdonald says Zach Charbonnet will not play after his return from the physically unable to perform list.
The Seattle Seahawks ruled out running back Zach Charbonnet for Sunday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, delaying his season debut despite his recent activation from the physically unable to perform list.
Coach Mike Macdonald said Charbonnet had no setback and that "if anything, it's going as good as we could hope it could go," noting the running back is recovering from a torn ACL sustained in January.
Right guard Anthony Bradford returns from injured reserve after missing five games, while Emanuel Wilson, George Holani, and Velus Jones Jr. handle running back duties in Charbonnet's absence.
Sunday's opponent, the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs, enter with a 6-0 record led by former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, who averages a league-leading 133 rushing yards per game.
The Seahawks will have a longer practice week before hosting the Chicago Bears on Monday, November 2, potentially allowing more time for Charbonnet to continue his recovery.
