Once again an Austrian judicial institution is shaken by a death. In the JA Eisenstadt a man died in a fire in his cell. The prisoner may have set the fire himself on Saturday evening. It is already the second death case within a short time, which employs the prosecutor's office Eisenstadt.
In the Eisenstadt Judicial Centre a prisoner died in a fire that night on Sunday. According to the first findings, the man himself set the fire.
A man died in a fire in his cell at the Eisenstadt prison. The inmate is believed to have started the fire himself on Saturday evening, the Ministry of Justice announced on Sunday. Police investigations and an internal review to clarify the exact circumstances are ongoing, the statement said.
Apparently, the inmate had barricaded his detention room and set fire to him, and every help came too late for him.
