In a televised speech, Prime Minister Netanyahu stated: The weapons should be silent. He threatened Hezbollah at the same time and stated that the army had “set the Shiite militia back by decades.” However, the inhabitants of northern Israel are no longer able to return to their homes.
The ceasefire is favored by Israeli opposition politicians Benny Gantz and Jair Lapid, among others. He is expected to be opposed by the far-right Ben-Gvir.
