Indiana Supreme Court Allows News Cameras In Courtrooms
News cameras will be allowed in Indiana courtrooms starting May 1st with the permission of judges. The Indiana Supreme Court has ruled that the cameras will be allowed into public hearings, with Chief Justice Loretta Rush saying trial court judges can determine how to balance transparency and protect the rights of people in court. Minors and jurors cannot be photographed or recorded on video.
