The initial contribution for New Zealand would have been in the order of $56 million when it joined the bank, and further spending could have been even higher.
The bank is created to finance the defense industry of the participating countries at the expense of their contributed capital
New Zealand has not joined the International Bank for Defence, Security and Sustainability (DSRB), although Canada has invited the country to participate in the project, the organization plans to finance the defence industry of participating States, including Ukraine, as reported by Radio RNZ with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand.
