[New York Joint] As of 5pm on the 17th, the New York foreign exchange market after the long holiday, the yen was trading at 153.23-33 yen per dollar, down 60 yen from the previous weekend, with the dollar strengthening. The euro was trading at 1.1849-59 dollars, or 181.59-69 yen. The yen is currently strengthening and the dollar is weakening.
