The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has made critical changes to the rules regarding the opening, operation, and supervision of vehicle inspection stations. With the new regulation, published in the Official Gazette on October 9, 2026, and entering into force on the same date, station operators who fail to comply with the rules will face administrative fines of up to 100,000 TL.
The amendment to the regulation concerning the operation of vehicle inspection stations has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force. With this regulation, administrative fines ranging from 17,376 Turkish Lira to 100,000 Turkish Lira will be imposed on businesses depending on the type of violation. For violations related to railway safety, the fine amount has been increased to 411,506 Turkish Lira.
