The newly-formed City of Shelbyville Police Commission held its organizational meeting Wednesday afternoon.

In a move that surprised even some of the elected officials at the table, members of New Paltz’s town council voted at a special meeting on July 8 to abolish the citizen police commission and take those powers back to themselves.
