New Mrs Claus' Bakery at Newcastle Christmas Market reveals menu of treats

Children can bake and decorate gingerbread and make Santa's fairy dust at the pop-up bakery, which runs daily with festive entertainment in Newcastle's Christmas Village.

  • On November 15, Mrs Claus' Bakery debuts in Newcastle Christmas Market's Christmas Village in Old Eldon Square as the festive market returns.
  • Newcastle City Council, Newcastle NE1, and EVNT Inspirations expanded the market to attract visitors, with attractions including a 5 metre-high Ferris wheel.
  • Inside the bakery experience, sessions run 30 minutes daily from 10am–5.30pm with a noon–1pm break, where children join hands-on gingerbread cooking and decorate baked treats with Mrs Claus and two elves.
  • Families can book online; tickets cost £8 plus a booking fee for one child and one adult, via the market site.
  • After the November 15 launch, the market runs through December 23 while the Christmas Village and the Moosenwirt pop-up bar in Grey Street continue until New Year's Day.
