- Referencing recent NEET-UG protests, Rahul said students are in 'severe pain' and do not need Prime Minister Narendra Modi's forgiveness, but an 'apology for his government.'
- Several opposition leaders including Akhilesh Yadav, P Chidambaram, and D Raja attended the event, which Gandhi noted represented the 'idea of India' in their own way.
- Gandhi asserted that every state has the right to its own culture and language, warning that India will never accept any history or culture being 'trampled upon by anybody.
