New 'dangerous dogs' ban rule as government issues Tuesday update
The measure will also tighten exemption rules for banned breeds, while 29,400 out-of-control dog attacks were logged by police in 2025, officials said.
As of 1 November 2026, in the United Kingdom no child under 12 years of age may be left alone with a dangerous breed dog.
