New counterproposal to the SRG Halving Initiative launched

Companies should be completely exempted from the media fee. Households should continue to pay 335 francs for this.

The exemption of companies from the radio and TV license fee is being debated in Parliament. The National Council's Telecommunications Committee is in favor of it, while its counterpart in the Council of States is against it. A compromise of gradual exemption until 2035 has been proposed.

Companies are to be completely exempted from the media fee by 2035. Households are to continue to pay 335 francs a year for this, which the competent National Council Commission demands with its newly outlined counterproposal to the SRG Halving Initiative.
