New Commission Launches to Chart Next Chapter of Foreign Assistance
The Rockefeller Foundation and the David and Lucile Packard Foundation launched the Commission on the Future of Foreign Assistance to improve and reform U.S. foreign aid delivery worldwide with greater effectiveness and accountability.
The Commission, co-chaired by David Beasley and Ben Cardin, aims to release a plan for U.S. foreign assistance in 2027.
Polling shows that 80% of Americans support reforming and strengthening foreign aid, guiding the bipartisan Commission's work.
The Commission will hold consultations and provide recommendations to redesign U.S. foreign assistance for better effectiveness and to maintain public and political support.
