New AllOne Health Data Confirms EAP Role Shift: Employers Now Rely on EAPs as Strategic Organizational and Risk Management Partners

Yesterday, AllOne Health released the largest multi-year analysis of EAP organizational consulting and FMR services, analyzing 15,891 cases and highlighting a shift toward strategic roles.
Amid growing workplace complexity, managers and leaders rely on human-led EAP expertise because complex employee issues cannot be resolved by digital-only wellness tools.
Data breakdowns show distinct manager and workplace-level uses: among 10,640 organizational consulting cases, 52% were manager-initiated requests, and 48% addressed workplace needs, with 5,251 formal management referrals involving 53% substance misuse, 26% performance issues, and 17% mental concerns.
