A Russian delegation led by Kremlin adviser Vladimir Medinsky demanded in Istanbul that Ukraine remain neutral without the presence of foreign troops and weapons of mass destruction, drop demands for war reparations from Russia, and accept the loss of Crimea and four Ukrainian regions that Russia does not fully occupy. At the same time, the Russians are demanding that these territories be internationally recognized. Bloomberg reports.

During the talks in Istanbul on May 16, the head of the Russian delegation, the assistant to the Russian dictator, Vladimir Medinsky, voiced a number of maximalist demands from Moscow to representatives of Ukraine.

Russia believes that Ukraine should declare itself a neutral state and prevent the presence of foreign troops on its territory, as well as weapons of mass destruction.
