Network Rail begins upgrading Inverclyde line – Club Feroviar

Network Rail is investing £18m (€21.5m) to upgrade and renew vital infrastructure on the Inverclyde Line in Scotland. The work will take place at a number of locations between Port Glasgow and Gourock and Wemyss Bay to renew the track, rebuild the structures and repair a tunnel on the railway. Engineers will renew the points – the tracks that allow trains to pass from one line to another – at Wemyss Bay Junction, west of Port Glasgow station.
