The Dutch Army is preparing to create numerous units of drone operators that will be integrated into all other larger army units to provide them with an unmanned component.
The Army is going to add drone and counter-drone units to all combat units. Starting in April, 1,000 to 1,200 people need to be recruited for this, said Chief of Defence Onno Eichelsheim on the television program WNL Op Zondag.
The Dutch land forces will be the first in NATO to incorporate drone and counter-drone units into all combat units.
