Netflix turns to theaters to launch ‘Stranger Things’ animated spin‑off
- Netflix is partnering with AMC Theatres to preview the animated series Stranger Things: Tales From '85 on Saturday, April 18, in 34 U.S. locations, with tickets going on sale today, Wednesday, March 18.
- Set in 1985 Hawkins, the animated spinoff follows Eleven, Mike, and friends between seasons 2 and 3, developed by showrunner Eric Robles and creators Matt and Ross Duffer.
- The 55-minute screening features the first two episodes with new voice talent, including Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven and Jeremy Jordan as Steve Harrington, at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. local time.

- The series debuts globally on Netflix on April 23; for those unable to attend the theatrical preview, streaming access begins five days later, allowing viewers to watch at home.
