Israel had launched its operations in southern Lebanon early March after Hezbollah launched missiles and rockets at Tel Aviv following the killing of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The President of the Iranian Parliament also accused the United States on Sunday of " secretly planning a land offensive", and declared that he was waiting for "the arrival of American soldiers on the ground" to attack his regional allies.
"We are determined to radically change the situation in the northern part of Israel," the country's prime minister said in a video message to the Israeli people.
Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu said that he had ordered the Israeli army "to expand the security zone" in southern Lebanon.
