Netanyahu Sues Israeli Media Over Reports He Was Warned Ahead Of Oct. 7 Attack
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has filed defamation lawsuits against several Israeli media outlets and journalists over reports alleging that he received warnings from Egyptian and Emirati officials ahead of Hamas’ October 7, 2023, massacre in southern Israel.
Israel: Among the respondents are the Ha'aretz and Ediot Akhronot newspapers, the Hadashot 12 news service, as well as journalists and observers from Shlomi Eldar, Uri Misgav, Nadaw Eyal, Barak Ravid and Atila Shomfalvi.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has filed a defamation lawsuit for 2.6 million shekels against Haaretz newspaper, News 12, and a number of journalists who published reports on the warnings Netanyahu received from the United Arab Emirates and Egypt before October 7.
