The British Embassy in Kosovo indicated today, on the occasion of the anniversary of the attack in Banjska, that those responsible have not yet been brought to justice and stated that accountability remains crucial.

The Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti, on the three anniversary of the terrorist attack in Banjska by an armed group from Serbia said that this group from Belgrade aimed to annex northern Kosovo, but that it failed thanks to the determination and professionalism of law enforcement officials. Kurti wrote in a Facebook post that The Republic of Kosovo has prevailed over aggression and crime, hero over terrorists.
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petkovic says that three Serbs were killed in Banjska on this day in 2023 and that Pristina did not answer.
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by Milan Radoičić, the former vice-president of the Serbian List, the largest party of Kosovo Serbs, which has the support of Belgrade.
