In Latvia, the National Council for Electronic Media (NEPLP) banned the broadcasting of the Belarusian radio station “Radio Belarus” on the territory of the country.
The decision of the Latvian regulator in the Ministry of Information is considered to be a restriction on the dissemination of Belarusian media, and the agency stated that the charges against the radio station "seems to be an undisguised desire by the Latvian authorities to prevent the dissemination of objective and reliable information".
