Nekoosa woman drowns in Wisconsin River

FOR CITY TIMES SARATOGA – A Nekoosa woman has died after drowning in the Wisconsin River in south Wood County. According to a press release from the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, the 58-year-old woman’s body was pulled from the river early Saturday afternoon. Wood County Central Dispatch received a report of a person in the Wisconsin River just north of Wakely Road in the Township of Saratoga. The caller was able to bring the woman to shore.…
