Candidate countries celebrate renewed momentum in EU accession process
Candidate countries to join the European Union showed optimism at the Euronews Enlargement Summit in Brussels on Tuesday, as new progress reports signaled movement towards membership. Montenegro, Albania and Moldova all aim to join the bloc over the next five years.
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said that as a result of the process of screening the legislation of Ukraine and Moldova for compliance with EU standards, there are all prerequisites for opening negotiating clusters by the end of November.
