Nebraska auditor says he's gone to law enforcement over governor's no-bid contract

The $2.5 million contract lacked required emergency justification and involved a lobbyist known to Governor Pillen, with allegations of state employees attempting to deceive the Auditor's Office.

It's a crime to deceive the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts, and Auditor Mike Foley believes economic development staff tried to do so last year.
