- On Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Directorate of Operations and General Investigations seized 250 grams of cocaine hidden in a local mortar and 500 grams concealed in a backpack's false bottom in Lagos. Both consignments were destined for China and Italy.
- In Anambra State, a stop-and-search operation on July 27 intercepted truck XK 131 BDG, recovering 26,000 bottles of codeine syrup weighing 3,960kg. Driver Chinedu Nwanze, 40, was arrested during the enforcement action.
- Regional operations yielded additional seizures: officers intercepted 7,400 pills of tramadol 225mg from suspect Sani Umar on the Zaria-Gusau highway, while Nasarawa State authorities arrested 64-year-old Joseph Nwaeke with 68 kilograms of skunk and 29 grams of methamphetamine.
- NDLEA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brig.-Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa , commended the DOGI, Rivers, Anambra, Delta, Nasarawa, and Zamfara commands for the successful operations. Marwa urged officers to maintain a balanced approach to drug control efforts.
- The agency continues its War Against Drug Abuse sensitization campaign, conducting nationwide lectures at schools and workplaces. Activities included outreach at Hausawa Special Primary School in Kano and the Challenge Bus Terminal Park in Ibadan.
