NDHHS recognizes International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Saskatchewan highlights leadership of persons with disabilities and advances accessibility plans under The Accessible Saskatchewan Act to remove barriers across public services.

- Last year, the Government of Saskatchewan released the province's first accessibility plan as required by The Accessible Saskatchewan Act, and provincial public sector bodies have publicly released their plans.
- Saskatchewan Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services provides support, resources and advocacy for people who are Deaf, DeafBlind or Hard of Hearing and expressed gratitude for government recognition, pledging continued commitment to inclusion.

NDHHS recognizes International Day of Persons with Disabilities
More than 6,000 North Dakotans are currently receiving Developmental Disabilities Services. Since 1992, the United Nations has dedicated a day every year to increasing awareness about those who live with disabilities. For the last 33 years, December 3 has been recognized as International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
