NCL Names Final Prima Class Ship Norwegian Bella, Opens 2028 Sailings

The 3,921-guest ship will debut in May 2028 with new features guided by guest feedback and sailings from Barcelona.

  • On Tuesday, Norwegian Cruise Line opened sales for Norwegian Bella, a 170,000-gross ton ship offering seven-day Mediterranean roundtrip voyages from Barcelona, Spain, beginning in May 2028.
  • Bella is the sixth and final ship in the Prima Class. Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, said it marks a "milestone moment" and the "culmination of our award-winning Prima Class."
  • The ship features a pool deck over 15% larger than previous Prima vessels and the multi-level Ocean Heights complex spanning decks 18 through 21. Australian contemporary artist George Rose designed the original hull artwork.
  • Accommodating 3,921 guests, the vessel includes 159 luxury suites within The Haven. Guests there receive 24-hour butler and concierge service plus priority embarkation and disembarkation.
  • Following Bella's 2028 launch, Norwegian Cruise Line plans to build four ships as part of a new, larger class with deliveries beginning in 2030. This expansion continues the company's fleet growth strategy.
