- Built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited, the 6,670-tonne ship showcases the "Make in India" spirit, featuring over 75 per cent indigenous content and supporting over 200 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
- Featuring BrahMos missiles and advanced radar, the frigate is designed for "High-Speed- High Endurance" operations, handling diverse roles from high-intensity combat to Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief.
- The vessel reinforces India's presence across the Indo-Pacific, from the Persian Gulf to the Malacca Strait, aligning with the Navy's strategy to maintain stability and protect critical maritime interests amid evolving regional security dynamics.
