The Baltic states announced two years ago that they would jointly shape their defences. Estonia has now begun the construction of bunkers.
Estonia moved into the practical phase of strengthening its southeastern border by beginning the installation of the first concrete defensive bunkers within the Baltic defensive line.
Each bunker, with an area of about 35 square metres, is designed to carry 152-mm artillery shells.
