Mukhtar Scores 3 Goals, His 5th Career Hat Trick, as Nashville Beats LAFC 3-2
Hany Mukhtar became the seventh player in Major League Soccer history with at least five regular-season hat tricks.
On Sunday, Nashville SC captain Hany Mukhtar scored his first hat trick since 2023 to lead the team to a 3-2 victory over Los Angeles FC.
Mukhtar reached his 100th goal for Nashville during the match, scoring from the 6-yard box in the 13th minute before adding free kicks in the 21st and 59th minutes.
Despite being outshot 21-8, Los Angeles FC responded with goals from David Martinez in the 22nd minute and Denis Bouanga in the 68th minute.
Nashville played without forward Sam Surridge, who missed his fourth consecutive game due to what the club called a "middle body" injury, and midfielder Andy Najar, sidelined with a muscle injury.
Los Angeles FC has now lost three consecutive games and remains winless in four straight, while Nashville maintains its lead in the Eastern Conference with 30 points.
